I got really excited the other day when I saw an ad on TV for Old Navy Jeans for $19 and I was thrilled to see that they came in so many great colors. Now that I’ve lost a few pounds, I love the idea of wearing skinny leg jeans. Remember those of us in our 60’s view ourselves as the new 40’s. I have this vision of me in them and OMG I am also wearing high heels as well. Ones like I saw on the women next to me at my Madonna concert.
Now you have to remember I live in Maine so it is not exactly high fashion land. And, you must know that I have not worn high heels since I had a corporate job in the 80’s and 90’s again here in Maine. So in other words I have never in my life ever considered high fashion before. Why now? Not sure except to say today is the first day of the rest of my life. And it seems to me – it could be really fun to do so on a girl’s night out with one of my select group of girlfriends or with a couple of my gay boyfriends.
How does this sound to you?
A Girl’s night out always sounds good to me.
By the way…did you get a ‘copyright’ for that picture?
Time to plan a Dancing night out in Beantown. Anyone else want to come along to that?
Might want to wait for spring for those heels!
My nights out seem to end around 10:00 p.m. these days, just when the dance floor starts jumpin’
You might have to nap and come down to Portland to try out Bubba’s.
Sounds like a fun time!! Nice shoes.
Peg – time for another girls night out in Portland – don’t you think? I might have to bring my heels in a bag given our winter weather.
High heels and skinny jeans!!!! YOU GO GIRL… I however I am out — the heels would be off by the time I walked to the car (if I owned any) And the skinny jeans .. Well,?! how long does it take for the seam imprints to leave my calves?
I am up for a dance in beantown.
Nancy -I’ll work on making the dance thing happen again in Beantown.
